Volunteers to serve as the usher at Sunday services are solicited either monthly or bi-monthly by e-mail from a list of those who have expressed willingness to participate, and assignments are made from those who have indicated availability.
Briefly, the duties are to light the candles on the altar before the service, greet those attending at the door, collect the offering, and, after the service, to count the offering and extinguish the candles.
Anyone interested in ushering should contact 26suffolk@gmail.com to have his or her name added to the prospective usher list. A more detailed list of usher duties will be sent upon request.
